This is a short series of photos of the Scripps National Spelling Bee held in Washington, D.C. Kavya Shivashankar won on the word “laodicean,” which apparently means lukewarm and indifferent regarding political or religious matters. And I thought I could spell well when I was 13. Such an amazing event to witness.
